What this site is
Tools Directory is a directory of free, single-purpose online tools — calculators, converters, generators and checkers. Each tool does one job, works without an account, and gives you an answer on the page you landed on.
How the tools work
Every tool runs in your browser. The numbers you enter, the text you paste and the files you open are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to a server. That is a design decision, not a marketing line: it is why these tools can be used with a contract or a spreadsheet you would not hand to a stranger.
Calculators show the formula they use. Where a tool implements a published standard method, the page says which one and links the source (for health and money tools this is required), so you can check the result rather than taking our word for it.

What we do not publish
This directory does not publish interest-bearing financial tools. There are no loan repayment schedules, amortisation tables, APR comparisons or credit-card payoff calculators here, and there will not be.
How the site is paid for
Tools Directory is free to use and carries advertising. Some tool pages also show one clearly labelled affiliate recommendation, and we may earn a commission if you buy through it. Neither advertisers nor affiliate partners have any say in which tools get built, what a tool computes, or what its page says, and nothing here is sponsored content. There is no paid tier, no account, and nothing to buy.
Who runs it
Tools Directory is edited by Tools Directory Editorial Team, who is responsible for everything published here.
Corrections
If a tool gives a wrong answer, tell us and we will fix it. A calculator that is quietly wrong is worse than no calculator, so corrections take priority over new tools. Every tool has a “Report it” link under its result, or use the contact page — include the tool, the values you entered, and the answer you expected.
