Type the text, choose how many copies you want and what goes between them, and the repeated result appears ready to copy. Three copies of Hello world on separate lines give 35 characters: 33 for the text and two line breaks. The limit is 1000 copies or 200,000 characters.

About this tool

Developers filling a form with test data, designers checking how a long label wraps, and people making a row of emoji for a message all need the same thing: one piece of text, many times over. Typing it by hand is slow and easy to miscount. Here you set the number of copies with the plus and minus buttons, pick a line break, space, comma or no gap between them, and copy the output. The character, word and line counts tell you whether the result will fit a field limit before you paste it. Emoji and accented letters count as single characters. Output is capped at 200,000 characters so the page stays responsive.

How to use it

  1. Enter the text

Type or paste a word, sentence, symbol or several lines into the box.

  2. Set the copies

Use the minus and plus buttons or type a whole number from 1 to 1000.

  3. Choose the separator

Pick New line, Space, Comma or Nothing to decide what sits between copies.

  4. Copy the output

Check the character and line counts, then copy the repeated text.

Examples

A phrase on three lines

Text to repeat
Hello world
Number of copies
3
Between copies
New line

Result Repeated text: Hello world
Hello world
Hello world
Copies: 3
Characters: 35
Words: 6
Lines: 3

  1. Copies: 3 × "Hello world" (11 characters each).
  2. Joined with a line break between copies: 2 separators.
  3. Length = 11 × 3 + 1 × 2 = 35 characters.

Three copies of an 11-character phrase plus two line breaks give 35 characters, 6 words and 3 lines.

A comma-separated list

Text to repeat
yes
Number of copies
4
Between copies
Comma

Result Repeated text: yes, yes, yes, yes
Copies: 4
Characters: 18
Words: 4
Lines: 1

  1. Copies: 4 × "yes" (3 characters each).
  2. Joined with a comma and space between copies: 3 separators.
  3. Length = 3 × 4 + 2 × 3 = 18 characters.

Four copies of yes joined by a comma and a space, handy for filling test data.

Five party emoji

Text to repeat
🎉
Number of copies
5
Between copies
Space

Result Repeated text: 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉
Copies: 5
Characters: 9
Words: 0
Lines: 1

  1. Copies: 5 × "🎉" (1 characters each).
  2. Joined with a space between copies: 4 separators.
  3. Length = 1 × 5 + 1 × 4 = 9 characters.

Each emoji counts as one character, so five of them with four spaces make 9.

How it is calculated

length = L × n + s × (n − 1)

L
characters in your text, counting each emoji or accented letter once
n
number of copies
s
characters in the separator: 1 for a line break or space, 2 for a comma and space, 0 for nothing

The copies are joined with the separator placed only between them, never after the last one, so n copies have n − 1 separators. Characters are counted as graphemes, which means a flag or a skin-toned emoji counts once even though it is built from several code points.

When not to use it

  • For numbered or varied lines, such as Item 1 to Item 50, a list generator suits better than identical copies.
  • Posting repeated text to comments or chats can be flagged as spam by the platform.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving a trailing space or line break in the input, which then appears inside every copy.
  • Assuming the separator adds after the last copy; it only goes between copies.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most copies I can make?

Up to 1000 copies, as long as the output stays under 200,000 characters. A 40-character line repeated 1000 times would pass 40,000, which is fine; a 300-character paragraph repeated 1000 times would not.

Can I repeat several lines at once?

Yes. Paste a block with line breaks and the whole block is copied as one unit, with your chosen separator between blocks. The Lines figure counts every line in the output.

How are emoji counted?

Each visible emoji counts as one character, including flags and emoji with skin tones that are stored as several code points. Some sites count code points instead and will report a larger number.

Why is the character count higher than text length times copies?

The separators add to it. With a comma separator each gap is two characters, a comma and a space, so four copies of yes give 12 plus 6, which is 18.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The repetition happens in your browser and nothing you type is stored on a server or added to the link the Share button creates.
